Easy to use, easy to throw away.

No intelligent functions at all, ok if you want to make small recordings or return to manually end the recording as will lose recording if left to run out of power. Will record hours of video so long as you manually press stop before the battery runs out. You have to fill your sd card up with data so theres only enough room to record an hour and a half at a time so it saves the recording. Silly with daft oversights really.

a completely manual piece of kit not for anyone who really wants a covert camera. A shame as the camera is mobile phone quality and quite good.

I received the product today, it came in a bubble wrap bag, no cd rom, and instructions which were written by a foreign national in english. The instruction state that the maximum resolution it can record video in is 352x 288 and not the 640×480 as stated in the Amazon Product description. For this reason I am very, very, very disappointed. I would normally want my money back, but postage cost to return will negate any advantage. The product itself is well built and looks realistic, it functions as a pen, but it seems my one came with either no ink or ink that has dried up, shame. You can buy this product from other sources, but if they are produced in the same factory I would suggest this to be one of the cheapest place to buy. Remember, it cannot do the stated 640×480 resolution. It’s okay for practical jokes etc, not much use for anything else……

Disadvantages

The instruction booklet is about as much use as a chocolate teapot, and unable to change the “Date and Time”. If you need a camera pen to record the actual date and time, to record anything, this pen is not for you.

Advantages

If you are not bothered about changing the “Date and Time”. Then i would recommend this pen, excellent picture quality, and sound. The driver disc is easy to install, without any problems, and transfering footage to the computer is easy to, with no problems.

The footage can be transfered or arcived as well onto USB memeory sticks, for future use. To wipe off all the footage on the pen, you need to “formatt the pen”, all data is then permantly erased.

Even on the compact CD disc they are unreadable. May I suggest that if you are going to sell these items then you darn well make sure that comprehensive instructions are included as standard.Not pigeon english. where is your customer satisfaction & service?

would have been perfect for my intended purpose due to its size, but I could not get an image on the screen that didn’t flicker and distort, it was like a strobe light on your TV I tried different locations with both the receiver and the camera, some gave a slightly better picture but I never managed to get a picture that I could define as satisfactory. I also tried switching off all other Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices to no effect

This business security device is fit for purpose, but with some problems. It can hide in plain sight in a desk tidy among other pens, and keep an eye on the safe for an hour. Faces sufficiently defined to be recognizable. Fixed point camera, less clear if camera moves about. It is supposed to take it’s date from a notepad file, but I could not get it to do so, and it defaulted to 1980 and later to 2077. The instructions tell you to fully charge and discharge 5 times to ensure battery life, but it is all to easy during familiarization period to send it around short cycles of charge and discharge, so perhaps that is why I could only get about 1 hour duration. Sometimes it shuts down without saving a readable file. But it enabled me to confront my thief, recover £500, and stop further loss. A cost effective solution.

Most of the time does not work. I am on my second one after returning my first. Major issues. will not start, or switch to record, or switch off, PC does not recognise it, media player sometimes plays “it” other times does not. I would not recommend anyone buy this Pen.
